The 10 girls who made up the 14U Nestucca Girls Softball team for the 2019 season are now champions.

In a league consisting of two Lincoln City teams, two Newport teams, a Toledo team, two Neah-Kah-Nie teams and Nestucca, the Nestucca girls won all but a single game this season, falling to an undefeated Lincoln City team.

At the all-day league tournament held in Newport on May 18-19, the girls ended up playing that same Lincoln City team that beat them during league play for the Championship game.

Nestucca 14U girls reportedly played their hearts out and gave it all they had, earning the big win they wanted so badly. The final score was a close 12-10 to take home the League Championship Trophy.
