Melburt LeRoy Pike was born February 24, 1942 to Frank and Ida Pike in Blodgett Oregon. He spent much of his childhood in Bay City, Oregon. He moved to Lebanon and eventually to Bend where he graduated high school in 1960. Shortly after, he joined the US Air Force and eventually was stationed at Mt. Hebo until his discharge in 1964.
On May 3, 1964 he married Rosemary Frieda Rawe in Tillamook and raised two children.
Mel & Rosemary eventually moved to Beaver Oregon where they resided until Rosemary’s death in August 2003.
Mel married Juanita Geddis on June 19, 2004 and eventually moved to Sweet Home, Oregon where they resided until Nitas passing in Aug 2013.
Mel moved to Grande Ronde, Oregon where he met and married Jessie (Candy) Vorder Strasse on July 26, 2014 where they resided until Mel’s passing on June 20, 2019.
Mel was a 55 year member at the Tillamook Elks Lodge.
Mel is survived by his wife Candy, daughter Carmon Dummer, son Camron Pike, Brother Melvin Pike, Brother Marvin Pike, and sister Lilly, six grandchildren and other family.
A celebration of Life will be held at Tillamook Elks Lodge on July 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
