The west or onshore flow has kicked in, so our temperatures have gone down some after peaking at 81 earlier at the Tillamook Airport, Astoria Airport hit 75 but is down to 70 now. Over in the valley, they are continuing to climb, PDX is up at 91 right now.
So, the upper level ridge is shifting eastward as we see an upper level disturbance moving through, bringing some higher clouds across the area. The increasing onshore flow means the temperatures tonight will fall into the mid 50s. It also means the high temperatures tomorrow, with some gusty afternoon winds, will only reach the upper 60s here with some marine cloudiness in the area, the valley cools into the mid 80s.
The low clouds move further inland tomorrow night as the onshore flow strengthens, the overnight low down near 50.
Friday, we do see some breaks in the marine clouds in the afternoon, again with the afternoon gusty winds, then the high pressure builds once again and we see Sunny skies Saturday, the high near 67, a few more clouds Sunday, another afternoon high near 67.
We expect little change for the start of next week, partly sunny days, mostly cloudy nights, highs near 66, lows near 52.
