Six people were injured after a pickup truck tumbled down an embankment on Forest Road.

At around 3:20 a.m. on Monday, June 10, Tillamook 911 received a call about a single-vehicle crash between mileposts 5 and 6 on Kilchis Forest Road. According to Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), the pickup truck was traveling eastbound on the Forest Road when it left the roadway for an undetermined reason, traveling over the embankment.

The pickup truck tumbled down a deep gully, ejecting three males riding in the back.

A male driver was inside the truck along with two female passengers. Two people were extricated from the vehicle. Others were either boarded or were assisted up to the road for transport.

Four people were taken by Life Flight to Portland-area hospitals and two were taken to Adventist Health in Tillamook by ambulance. According to TCSO, everybody involved was described as having serious injuries. Some were reportedly juveniles. No fatalities were reported.

Numerous agencies responded to the scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
