Sugar Brosius

I am requesting another prayer request for my brother. His numbers are not improving. They are trying different things to get them back to where they should be. I can tell how worried he and his family are. His three sisters are too. Prayers can move mountains. Let’s move a mountain. Thank you.

This is a week to be in Tillamook County if you like music. The Salty Strings meet each Wednesday evening at the Rockaway Beach City Hall from 6-7:30. All instruments are welcome. They also have ukuleles for you to borrow. Or, just come and listen.

The Parks and Recreation Program has begun. Stop by our city hall to register your children. It is a fun program. And don’t forget the community beach fires each Friday evening from 7-9pm. Benny and the Bay City Rockers will be performing this Friday evening. That’s pure entertainment! Every Wednesday this month the kids will be going swimming in Nehalem. I hope to get you more field trip information soon.

Well, with summer here, the town has been really busy. If anyone is interested in volunteering for the International Police Museum this summer, or year-round, they would love the help. Also, be looking out for an upcoming garage sale fundraiser to help support our town’s very cool museum.  And if you have any contributions to help their sale out, please keep them in mind. We are so lucky to have them in our little community. Everybody’s favorite, the Warehouse 10 Market at 19485 Hay 101 S., just did a fabulous fundraiser for the Rockaway Beach Fire Department. They made a matching donation as well as a contribution from their sales fundraiser a few weekends ago. They raised $520 for the department. This is a great idea for all the businesses in our community. Our all-volunteer fire department donated a lot if time to making sure all in our community are taken care of. Thanks Michele Gray for telling me about this. You are awesome!

“America is a tune. It must be sung together.” That’s Rockaway Beach, Sugar Coated!”
