The Garibaldi Maritime Museum will be holding its Annual Silent Auction on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is offering free admission and will have a huge variety of items being offered at the auction. The public is encouraged to stop by and help the museum during their annual fundraising event. The museum has been doing the silent auction since 2002.

They will also be having a Silent Auction sneak peek with wine and cheese on Friday, July 26 from 4-7 p.m. They will be taking bids on items during this event. There will also be a raffle.

This year, the funds raised will be going towards model ship displays. These displays will be a rotating exhibit of model ships. Some of the models are coming from the museum’s storage area. They include the USS Missouri, PT 109, tug boats, fishing boats, and steamers. They have some historic ships like the Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria, and the Mayflower, as well as a model ship that was created around 100 years ago.

“We hope to focus on the history of each ship, making this a truly educational experience,” said Anna Rzuczek, Garibaldi Museum Manager.

Some items up for bid are Beaver football tickets. Local restaurant gift cards, overnight stays, zip line tours, a paintball party, admission to historical organizations, garden items, and much more.
