Tillamook piano teacher Marianne Gienger will be presenting her piano students in her annual Student Sprint Recital which will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Tillamook.
The public is invited to attend this piano recital to see and hear those talented students as they perform repertoire from all periods of music, there is no charge for admission.
This program highlights a year of piano study and students will be demonstrating their skills on piano by performing solos as well as duets and trios.
All of Gienger’s students studied for the Oregon Music Teachers Assoc. Syllabus Exams which were held in march. The purpose of the syllabus is a means of evaluating the musicianship skills, comprehension and performance ability of the student.
The NFMC Junior/Senior Festival adjudications took place in May in Tillamook and the Gienger students received 29 superior and 4 excellent honors. At the end of the recital, NFMC trophies will be awarded to Keira Burris, Blake Poblador, Korbin Coleman, Sam Hooley and Olivia Hooley.
