Donna May Scott was born on March 11, 1936 in Reeder, N.D. to Harry and Dorothy (Wooley) Carter. She passed away Aug. 3, 2011 in Portland at age 75.

Donna grew up in Sweet Home and graduated from Sweet Home High School.

She married Louis Scott on May 1, 1954 in Sunnyvale, Calif. They moved to Tillamook in 1965 and settled on the Trask River.

Donna was a great cook and showed her talents decorating cakes for all kinds of occasions, but her greatest joy in life was her family and time spent with them.

Donna is survived by her two children; Teresa Lynn Scott and Wade Scott and his wife Shirley all of Tillamook; one brother, LeRoy James Carter of Penn Valley, Calif.; one sister, Delores Wills of Post Falls, Idaho; four grandchildren, Crystal Walpole, Ashley Scott, Derek Scott and Trevor Scott; one great-grandson Steven Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Louis Scott, and by two sisters, Florence Sommers and Betty Pennell. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.

Inurnment will be held at Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are in care of Waud’s Funeral Home.
